Welcome to the Intermediate Whitewater Session at Summer camp '24.
This course takes the basic introduction whitewater to the next level. We will move to the main course and look at technical aspects such as ferrygliding, eddy's and running lines.
A risk assessment for the white water course can be found in the ‘Governance’ tab under ‘Risk Assessments’.
Please be at the ‘back channels’ promptly for 13:00 for the first briefing. You will require all your kit plus a white water spec boat. If you have any concerns, please see a coach or a member of the committee.
Under 18’s must have a parent or appropriate adult at the ‘back channels’ for the duration of the session.
There are changing facilities at the centre if required.
The Organising Committee of the Introduction to Whitewater Session believe that the welfare and wellbeing of all children is paramount. All suspicions, concerns and allegations of harm will be taken seriously and responded to swiftly and appropriately. A welfare officer for the event has been appointed and will act as the point of contact for any concerns or allegations.
