Welcome to Summer Camp '26 Whitewater Session at Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham.

Please read all of the information carefully and be sure you have completed any outstanding tasks.
Due to the demand for the whitewater sessions this year we have decided to try and facilitate this. This year we have been offered further access to multiple sessions on the whitewater course and the lake for a cost of just £16. This will allow us to run multiple sessions with a variety of coaches and coaching styles.
Directions - Turn into the centre and drive past the regatta lake on the right, you will come to a car park, please drive past this car park and through to the whitewater car park. (Don't park in the first car park). What three words location on the right of this page. Payment for the car park will need to be made on the day.
To do:

- All paddlers must complete this whitewater declaration, sent by the NWSC, prior to booking on. It can be found here: WHITE WATER DECLARATION FORM
- Ensure your medical details are up to date on Club Pal.
- Ensure your emergency contact details are up to date on Club Pal.
You will need:
- All whitewater equipment (boat, paddle, WW buoyancy aid, spray deck and helmet). Please speak to Aidan if you require any of this kit.
- Wetsuit/Drysuit
- Windproof Cag
- Footwear you don't mind getting wet
- Clothing you don't mind getting wet.
- Spare change of dry clothes.
- Towel
- A drink and a snack
It is worth noting that the water quality of the River Trent is variable and information surrounding the quality of the water can be found at reception. It would be advisable to shower straight after the session either at the centre or on the camp site.

Please ensure your medical details and emergency contact details are up to date in club pal, this is very important.

We are fortunate enough to have three members of the club who can coach on whitewater this year. There will be three different groups.

Session Times
The sessions will begin at 10:00 and will last approximately 90 minutes. There will be a short break before groups 2 and 3 will swap coach and there will be another session that lasts approximately 90 minutes.
Please be in the car park for 9:30 to allow time to get changed and booked on the session. There are ANPR cameras covering the car park, please ensure you pay car parking fees.
Please be ready promptly 5 minutes before the designated start time, ready with all of your kit.
Under 18’s must have a parent or appropriate adult at the session for the duration of the time.
There are changing facilities at the centre if required.
The Organising Committee of the Summer Camp Whitewater Session believe that the welfare and wellbeing of all children is paramount. All children, regardless of age, disability, gender, race, religion or belief, have equal rights to safety and protection. All suspicions, concerns and allegations of harm will be taken seriously and responded to swiftly and appropriately. A welfare officer for the event has been appointed and will act as the point of contact for any concerns or allegations.
