Join us for the Paddle UK Paddle Sport Safety and Rescue Course. A relaxed and fun day on the water learning the latest in safety and rescue techniques for the sheltered water environment. On this course you will be introduced to a wide range of rescues to help keep you and others safe and dry in sheltered water. It is highly recommended for anybody who paddles on sheltered water to give you the tools to deal with common incidents that may occur. This course is aimed at paddlers of all abilities from beginner onwards!
We promise that you will go away with loads to play with, as well as learning to rescue kayaks, canoes, SUPs and sit on tops from your choice of craft. We will be spending most of the day on and in the water, so you do need to be prepared to get wet whilst having fun, experimenting and problem-solving loads of different possible rescue scenarios.
This will be delivered by Dave Beecroft of Whitewater Ways who is an excellent provider and has worked in assessing many of our club coaches. At the end of the day, you will be awarded your PSRC and for many it is the beginning of a long paddling career.
