Our first River Trip of the Season!
Join us for an entry level river trip launching from Brigg Leisure Centre Car Park which replaces our usual club night session. Afterwards join us for coffee/ hot chocolate to celebrate some members first river trip! This is sure to be a good warm up exercise for Summer camp which is right around the corner.
We will meet in Brigg Leisure Centre Car Park at 18:30 and launch around 19:00 (Scawby Rd, Scawby Brook, Scawby, Brigg DN20 9JH).
The pricing remains the same as a dock session: Adults £6 and Children £4.50.
All equipment is included in the price and paddlers would just need:
- Swimwear
- Towel
- Dry change of clothes
- Hot Drink (advised!)
Plus appropriate protection for the expected conditions.
- Wetsuit
- T shirt/rash vest
- Wet shoes/old trainers (are suitable).
In addition on colder evenings equipment such as the following maybe necessary:
- Thermal rash vest
- Cagoule
Please do let us know when you book the equipment you require and whether you can transport this yourself.
Extra information:
We do not have changing facilities at this event, a beach changing robe works well. It is advised that all paddlers turn up to the docks in their paddling attire.
Helmets are mandatory for all paddlers.
Under 18’s must have a parent or appropriate adult at the launch area for the duration of the session. You may want to bring a camp chair!
All paddlers must have their equipment checked and only enter the launch area once fully kitted out. On return, exiting the session, paddlers should keep all safety equipment on until they have left the launch area.
Please ensure as you enter or exit the launch area that you notify the assigned club official and they will “check you in” and ”check you out“.
Children will only be released into the care of their responsible adult.

The Organising Committee of River Trips believe that the welfare and wellbeing of all children is paramount. All children, regardless of age, disability, gender, race, religion or belief, have equal rights to safety and protection. All suspicions, concerns and allegations of harm will be taken seriously and responded to swiftly and appropriately. A welfare officer for the event has been appointed and will act as the point of contact for any concerns or allegations.
